Another concept for our space western project. Prepping a space fighter to be transported on the hover train.

I see you like orange hues a lot. Nice train designs by the way. I like that they're very blocky, robust-looking.
There's nothing like a huge chunk of metal.

Im loving every single bit of this. It would be so cool to see this as a story, play out in comic or literature form *n*

hi hi

This one is particularly good, though I've been wracking my brains to figure out why it seems to fit the theme more than the previous two. The human element in there helps a little bit, but I think perhaps the element that really carries the space western concept is the implication of different grades of technology...

Let me to explain what I mean: in the traditional western, objects like the pistol were always set apart from everything else, you would have dust, tents, horses and basically natural things. These would be in contrast with the comparatively nature of the pistol, fancy parlor, or steam engine.

So in this image, what struck me first was how this slim and needle like fighter is being loaded onto the considerably bulkier train car, even going so far as to use low tech things like chains to keep it tied down.

Maybe there was always an element of punk in westerns, or maybe it was a sense of the way the characters related to being stuck in the middle between an often cold and unfriendly high-civilization and a natural world that was inevitably grander and bigger than they were.

Also, the text and symbols on the side of the train care are awesome. :)

hi hi

You're welcome. I was worried that I might have come off as being overly critical. :)
